First Official Lacrosse Clinic in Portugal a Big Succees18.02.2010 During the weekend of 13-14 February a group of male and female lacrosse players joined together in Coimbra (Portugal) for the first official lacrosse clinic after the foundation of the first Portuguese team – ACM Lacrosse. Besides the players from Coimbra, players from Lisbon (a potential a new club) and one Portuguese player who currently lives in Scotland joined the clinic. The first morning was dedicated to running through basic skills. During Saturday afternoon and Sunday the practices were dedicated to the tactical part of lacrosse: strategies, formations, fast-breaks and offense-defence. On Saturday evening a group dinner was organized. For the clinic the ELF had assigned Canadian coach, Kyle Witt (Welwyn Warriors, formerly Drexel) who made the event a great success. Not only was the event a good opportunity to improve the quality of the players but also a great chance to promote lacrosse in Portugal and to think about future goals. Below you will find pictures as well as two videos from this successful and historic event.
